It was speculated that Raheel Shareef would be given the term extension for a year or two. But after a press release of ISPR(Inter Services Public Relations), cleared the fog and people wanted to know about the new army chief of Pakistan


Not only the Pakistanis were keen to know the name of the new army chief of Pakistan but our arch rivals India and of course, US and allied forces were keen to know about the all important post in Pakistan as it will define the strategy and the way where Pakistan will head in the next couple of years.


You can search the name of Lt Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa in google, and you will see most of the international has debated over the topic. Especially Indian media was very curious about the nomination of the new COAS. Indian blogs wrote over the new army chief of Pakistan and are commenting over his role in Kashmir and LOC.
